Worship at Immanuel is liturgical. Liturgical worship is “work of the people.” So, our worship includes members of the congregation and youth in confession, prayer and music. During worship, we glorify God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We hear God’s Word, share in the sacraments (baptism and the Lord’s Supper), and rejoice in community. All people are welcome to join us in praising the Lord. Sermons are posted on-line – click here.
There is always a special “Feeding of the Lambs” (children’s sermon) during worship. This is a time for the children to come forward and hear God’s Word spoken in a way that they can understand and apply in their own lives.
The Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) is celebrated on the first and third Sundays of the month and special festival days. All baptized Christians are invited to receive the Lord’s Supper.
Music is always a special part of worship. Both adult and Sunday School choirs raise their voices of praise to God on special occasions and festival days.
From Labor Day through Memorial Day, we worship at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. During the summer (the remainder of the year), we worship at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
